I used to work for a mortgage company as an underwriter, dealing with hundreds of people and companies who sent us things all the time.

One day i was sat there, working away, steam coming out of my pen, etc etc... When a box was hand delivered, addressed to our 3 man secured loans team. "What could this be?" we wondered "paper? stationery? leaflets?"... well, we opened the first box and inside, there was another box with a sticker sealing it, saying "Handy Candy". What was this? Another silly waste of time promotion from another company? No it wasn't, upon fully opening the white box, the lovely pink crepe paper made my eyes pop open, but not as much as the treats hidden inside - Retro Sweets from when i was a child! We could not believe it !! After digging into the box and stealing the best treats, i found a business card with a web address on - www.HandyCandy.com. I went onto the website and was faced with one of the best things i have seen all year!

The website is basically an old fashioned sweet shop where you can have hampers of all different sizes and types delivered to you, or a special person (or our company in this case!). They gift wrap it all up for you and deliver it on the day that you specify within reason.

Any old sweet that you can think of, they do it! Examples are as follows:

Kopp Kops, Cherry Lips, Monkey Nuts, Coconut Mushrooms, Fish n Chips, Cola Cubes, Yorkshire Mixtures, Aniseed Balls, Mojos, Wham Bars, Golden Nuggets, Fizz Whizz, etc etc etc

They have different categories of sweet hampers for special occassions such as weddings, or the more recent one, Valentines day. They usually have about 8+ different themed hampers to choose from, ranging in price from approx £11.99 upwards. For Valentines they include sweets such as Love Hearts, Jelly Lips, Fizzy Hearts and other fitting sweets included to fit the "theme".

They also have 6 month subscription hampers that you can buy for approx £116.99. Sounds like a lot of money but the boxes are massive with loads of different things in and are different every month.

You can of course buy the sweets just in small bags if you wish, there are many options and choices.
