I love making my own cards and do a few craft fair here are there as I love making them I make far more than I have friends to send them too. Fuelling my hobby further was the discovery of Handy Hippo. Handy Hippo are one of, if not the best web shop I've ever used. For someone like me who loves craft bits and bobs, sparkly bits, gems, pretty papers, embellishments and so on it's an aladdin's cave of goodies. I came across the site when searching Google for craft suppliers as I was shopping around for the cheapest place for card blanks and cello bags. A couple of years ago I decided to start making my own cards. I can't remember what it was that started me off, although I've always enjoyed crafty things and like to try my hand at new skills. In the early days of card making, one of the most difficult things I found was finding somewhere to buy supplies that didn't cost the earth. Many offline stores charge extortionate prices for just small amounts of materials, but then I discovered the Handy Hippo website (http://www.handyhippo.co.uk/).
