Advantages: Reviews are great, active forums, news, dates
Disadvantages: More information on different regions needed
High-Def Digest is a website dedicated to all information on high definition movies and TV shows.
The main feature which it has become most popular for are its Blu-Ray (and HD DVD) reviews. They are extremely helpful if you want to find out how the transfer is and the reviewer gives a rating out of five stars for the movie itself, HD video and audio quality, supplements and HD extras. I usually ignore everything except the video and audio quality and scroll straight down. They have screenshots included so you can see for yourself.
Other features of the site include Blu-Ray news, Home Theatre and set-up news, a section on the now dead HD DVD, very active but largely US based forums and what I think is their second most useful section; release dates. This page is a list of Blu-Rays being released and on what days, including what has already come out. One problem I have found is that sometimes the dates aren't correct for the UK as it's a US site. For example, American Psycho still hasn't come out in the UK yet it was released months ago in the US. Normally they are around the same date but you can always check on Blu-Ray.com as they have a Region B section.
If you're thinking about picking up a Blu-Ray I recommend quickly checking a review on this site first so you're not disappointed with the transfer. It's a great site with my only complaint being that they are very focused on US-only news and releases and it would help if they gave more information on different regions.
Summary: Highly recommend you use this site if you have a Blu-Ray player
