I used Hillarys Blinds some time ago, about six months roughly. I went onto their website and booked an appointment for someone to come around. The booking was very easy indeed. I got a telephone call and email to confirm the appointment.

When they representative came around, he was very friendly. I was surprised to learn that the rep measured, priced and if I placed the order, came back and fitted the blinds. This was nice, but did leave me concerned about the quality of the fit. Anyway, the pricing was about average, but they did have a special offer on, so I got my large kitchen and dining room quoted at £99 per vertical blind. The guy was very thorough, rechecking the measurements again. I then placed the order.

About two weeks later I got a call to arrange the fitting of the blinds. Back he came, installed and all neat and no mess within about 30 minutes. Since then I have been very happy with how they look. It makes the windows look very classy and well dressed. My only compaint is that the pulley strings for opening and closing, get tangled with the plastic bead pulley for angling the blinds. They seem to tangle even when you just look at them. Apart from that I am very pleased and will definitely get my other windows done. However, I will opt for having the pulleys installed at either end to minimise the tangling (if this is an option, I think it is).

Summary: Professional service and very friendly, well fitted too
