I have used Hilarys for blinds twice, both were bay windows so a tricky fit and large in terms of blind sizes. The price for both was £600. I initiated the enquiry over the internet, they called and we met, they do the measuring up - they take the risk.

The one bay had a wooden slatted venetian and was two thirds of the overall cost. I was recommended by the representatives to go for a metal style venetian as they come in various colours, and also the loading wouldn't be as great on the false ceiling within the bay, however I opted to stay with the wooden as it was in the lounge. So the message here - there weren't trying to sell the most expensive - I was given options. The upstairs bay did have a metal slatted venetian.

Both blinds are of excellent quality and took about 2 weeks to be manufactured. A mutually acceptable time was arranged for fitting and the fitting took about 2 -3 hours. I like most people don't have perfectly flat ceilings and this presented a logistic to overcome, but overcome it was without fuss.

The representatives were pleasant and unobtrusive, in comparison to blinds I'd had made via Debenhams 5 years earlier the prices were comparable and there are frequently offers emailed and put through the post - keep a look out for these.
