I have recently come across this site in the course of working on the Internet and I was so impressed with the majority of it I decided to write an opinion.

The site is www.holidayextras.co.uk and is a site where you can book all sorts of travel and hotel accommodation linked to any of the main UK airports.

The home page loads quickly and gives a clear list of the following links:
Airport Hotels with Parking
Airport Hotels with Coach
Secured Airport Parking
Airport & London Hotels
Airports by Rail
Airport Lounges

The site is very comprehensive and is simplicity itself to use.

First choose the section from those listed above, which matches the criteria of what you are intending to book.

You will then be given a straightforward list of questions to answer such as date of travel, date of return, the name of the airport from which you will be flying, number and ages of travellers, etc.

You will then be given a list that notches your criteria. For example if you are searching for a hotel with car parking facilities a list of hotels will appear. You can then click on each one to check the facilities available and the prices. Once you have chosen the hotel that best suits your needs you go back to the list of hotel and click on the suitcase icon next to the hotel of your choice.

All that remains is for you to fill in your details - name, address, credit card number etc. You will then receive a booking reference.

The other sections follow much the same pattern only they give lists of coach companies, rail services etc.

You can even use this site to book time in a first class departure lounge if you don't want to be in with all the crowds at the airport.

The site also has an 'about us' page from where you can access information about the company, latest news, feedback, details of how to contact the site managers and also a 'which airport' feat
ure giving a list of major airports and the facilities that they provide.

I haven't actually booked anything with these people as I never travel abroad, but have heard good reports of them from those who have booked with them.

I have however made quite a study of their web site in order to fill in the questionnaire for which I was being paid and it certainly did seem to give all the information one would need to book these 'extras' from the comfort of ones own home. The only real problem was that, after the initial page, the other pages were quite slow to load.

I shall have to remind Dave to take a look next time he's flying somewhere for work, then I can come back and update with actual user information!

Summary:
