Advantages: nothing in this day and age

Disadvantages: ads, bad interface, spam, not much space for new users, everything else i couldnt think of

Well i have had my htomail account for over 5 years and in that time it has just got worse and worse.
When i made the account it was great ! fast and easy to access and a decent user interface. But as time went on it just got slower and slwoer toa point when sometimes you couldn't even check your mail as the server was too busy.

The main problem without a doubt is the amount of spam/junk mail you get. All i get on my hotmail now is spam (no i dont want a bigger penis!) it's just soo soo annoying!
some become convincing as they can use your name....
BEWARE people with ebay/paypal the amount of spam you get from people ''acting'' as ebay and apypal is enourmous i get at least 2 a day. For most it wont be a problem but for the new user it is very very dangerous as stealing your details is soo easy for them.

The next big problem now is that they have a ''new'' user interface and my god is it absolute rubbish! it never really worked and its soo slowww and only worked in my Mozilla Firefox and not Internet Explorer (strange of m$). Composing a new message has become a guessing game of where the text box is. Also now you cannot forward your inbox to another account so are forced to stay with Microsoft.
I have gotten very very annoyed with it as you can tell and switched to Google mail which is just soo soo much better no spam just what i have signed up to (ebay/paypal) and people i know. I still use my hotmail for Msn Messenger and so still check the mail daily and everytime time i do all i have is 20+ of spam about viagra or nigerians. Also there ''Junk'' filter is rubbish mines set to max and i still get spam.

My advice just don't bother with a hotmail account! instead there are many many free ones including Yahoo, Google, and lots of others. If you use MSN messenger now you don't even need a hotmail account to use it :-) am convinced hotmail sells email addresses!

Summary: much better free email services out there
