Hotmail.com is a simple and straightforward email site that can be set up in minutes and easily accessed from anywhere in the world. It only takes a few seconds to log in, at which point the user is greeted with a simple overview screen, from which point they can access their inbox to access any new unread emails (or older ones that are yet to be deleted) as well as access their outbox to read emails that have been sent out, the drafts folder into which unfinished emails can be saved until they are ready to be sent, and the junk email folder into which spam is automatically placed where it is scheduled for deletion within a couple of days.

Hotmail is genearally very good at dealing with spam in such a way that you rarely encounter it, and your account also has a 1 gigabyte storage limit, which is more than enough for most users. You can also set up multiple accounts if you should wish, and the site is fast, reliable and incredibly straightforward to use, not to mention free.

You can only transfer email attachment files of a maximum size of 10mb however, and these can take a while to attach, but this is still generally all most users will need and is fine for sending groups of images or the odd mp3 file. Depite this minor drawback however hotmail remains a great genearal purpose email site that can be mastered in minutes and used quickly and efficiently.
