Advantages: Easy access
Disadvantages: junk as far as the eye can see
The new design for hotmail looks quite smart, I grant you. But has it really changed that much? As far as I can tell it just takes a little bit longer to access your messages as you have a new, extra stage to pass through before reaching your inbox. But what really gets me is the way it raves about all it's levels of inbox junkmail protection - which allows you to limit the mail you recieve. Sounds good until you try to make a selection. you can choose to accept only mail from people already in your address book - but then you could lose out on so many mails. Like your friends sending you their new email address - or receipts of internet orders etc. The other option is to exclude all mail other than those related to msn. But msn is responsible for 90% of all the foul junkmail I get. What's a girl to do? I once used an internet cafe to access my hotmail account - and ever since i've been getting junk related to every other user of that computer at the internet cafe. I don't need viagra, or a university diploma. Anyone found a way round this problem? Anyone want to know about viagra?! Get a hotmail account.

- 16/08/01 I have read your concerns about hotmail. I quit using it for some time now but came across the msn browser. I downloaded it this week-end and I really like it. I am once again using my hotmail since it's much faster to use through the msn browser just like using earthlink's browswer.
Give this a try and see if this helps you access your mail much faster.
On the junk mail I have no reply since I haven't had this problem, yet??? |
