For me hotmail has been brilliant although I have heard others complain about being overwhelmed by junk mails. I would say hotmail works as well as my email account on my isp, which is perhaps a bit faster on recieving emails if a few minutes worry you. The new junk mail editor on hotmail is very effective at filtering any junk email you may get. ... Read the complete review

I've been using Hotmail for about a year and think that it is really good. I like the fact that you can check your mail anywhere, and that you can use Outlook Express to read and write e-mails off-line. I like the fact that it offers an online virus check for e-mail attachments. Sometimes, the server is veeerrrry slow to respond, but then ... Read the complete review

I have had a hotmail account for a while now, and although I've had my fare share of junk mail, I also find the pros outway the cons. MSN Messenger service is probable one of the tools I use the most, It contains the people you know with a hotmail account, as long as they have entered you at their end, you can see when they are on-line, it ... Well, I mean it in the nicest possible way of course, as I am including myself! If you're the only user of your PC, Hotmail offers a useful feature for you. If you want an webmail account (I needed one as a second address) you can set up autologin. This means that when you type in www.hotmail.com into your browser, you are taken ... Don't believe the hype. I haven't spent much time using computers on the internet but I used hotmail for a month or so and I couldn't believe that people raved about it. Whether these people were paid by Mickey Soft I don't know but their so called service was awful. Losing the odd bit of correspondence was the least of my problems ... Read the complete review

I've had a hotmail account for about 2 years now. During that time, it has been out of action for about 6 months. The most recent problem I had was solved just a few days ago. A few weeks ago, my hotmail account stopped working. Apparently a lot of people lost use of their account . . . for about a day. Mine was out of action for nearly 2 ... Read the complete review

I suppose nearly everyone must have a hotmail address, but that still does not make it a brilliant service. I thought I'd get one before I was able to check my AOL mail over the net. I used it for a while, but I rarely check the account now. However, when I do, there are hundreds of junk messages there. As I have hardly given ... Read the complete review

Sorry, but Hotmail used to be a sterling service before the Microsoft Network came and gobbled it up. Since then it has become so jumbled (Sorry, "integrated") with other MSN services such as messenger and MSNFreeWEB that finding even the simplest of options requires an A-Level in geography. It would by really nice if it was more simple. ... Read the complete review

I started to use a hotmail account after my Outlook Express Email address stopped working properly. I saw the benefits of having an online email account (mainly being able to access it from any computer). I signed up to hotmail and was instantly impressed by look and easy-to-use interface. When it comes to free web based mail Hotmail is probably the biggest well known server. Hotmail which is run by msn is a decent mail server. They have maillimits of about 4 megs which isnt too bad at all. There server is pretty fast and 99.9 reliant. They do upgrades at night so it rarely effects its users. They have a good security system so you ... Read the complete review

When I first started using Hotmail, I was very impressed, because it was free and let me have a bit of privacy. However, I made the mistake of putting my name in the members directory and since then have received about 10-30 unwanted messages a day, mostly from porn sites. I do use the 'Block Senders' feature, but this has a ... Read the complete review

Hotmail is one of the oldest web mail services around and as such it is not as cutting edge as some of the newer ones but, crucially, it does still does what it should. 2MB of storage space, the ability to check POP mail, filters, and opt-in mailshots are just some of the facilities available. On the downside, Hotmail has been around so ... Read the complete review

I think everyone in the world has a hotmail account which means the names start getting a little imaginative/numerical nowadays which is a bore. Hotmail is one of the original web based mail accounts, but by no means the best. In my experience you get constantly harassed by spam, which is very often pornography sites. There are options to block senders, but they never use the same name twice, so it is ineffectual. There are plenty of better webmail providers, another.com for example, or ...
