Advantages: Very useful, especially to communicate with other Dooyoo users, Handy, Good idea for a website
Disadvantages: Limited
Anyone who is a member on Dooyoo should know about the free guestbook you can set up as part of your membership of the site. The site is known as 'Tooyoo', and is actually more than just a site containing guestbooks. The point of 'Tooyoo' is so that anyone who is a member of Dooyoo can keep in contact with other members of Dooyoo, and share information. If you're a member of Dooyoo and don't already have a guestbook on 'Tooyoo' you should set one up. You need to provide a few details, but when you register, you must use your Dooyoo user name. A password is also required. Once you have set up your own guestbook and accessed it, you can do quite a lot on the site. The home page contains a fair bit of information, including a section down the left-hand side with the sub-headings (providing information on) 'Tooyoo News', 'Quick Links', 'Who's Online' and 'Newest Members'. You can access these from your guestbook as well. There's also a brief explanation of the site (it's intended only for people who are already members of the sites Dooyoo, Ciao and U-Rate-It), and 'Latest Admin Notice' (not regularly updated). Logging into the site is pretty much the same as on Dooyoo, you just enter your username and password, which you can choose to be remembered. You can also choose to be 'Invisible', which only means no-one else logged in at that time will know that you are logged in too. When on your guestbook, you can access other parts of the site, including 'Settings' (where you can change the colours of different bits of the guestbook - see below), 'Edit Profile' (where you can set up a link to your Dooyoo profile), 'Log Out', 'Members' (you can seach other members' guestbooks when you access this), 'Links' and 'Help'. One good thing about 'Tooyoo' is that you can almost design yo
ur guestbook to your own liking. When you join, your guestbook will just be plain, but you can choose the colour of the background, comments text, name of user, name of user background, etc. There are also smilies available on the site, almost unique to 'Tooyoo' - these include happy, very happy (grinning), shy, winking, cool and sad. Once your guestbook is ready the way you want it, you can explore the site a bit more. There's a general message area for comments about anything, for anyone. This is especially useful for anyone who wants to ask a question, but isn't sure who to ask. Obviously, when other members get to know you, they will add comments to your guestbook. After this, you can choose to add any members of 'Tooyoo' you trust/like to your list of 'friends' (same as on Dooyoo). As an overall site, 'Tooyoo' is a good idea, and handy to be a member of - especially if you enjoy Dooyoo and keeping in contact with people from there. Although it is not compulsory to be a member of the site, you should consider signing up for a guestbook (if you haven't already), you could be missing out on something great!
