Disadvantages: you cannot control how many people send you advert e-mails

As I'm a poor student I decided that I'd utilise the free internet access I had in uni. Not being able to sign up to look at adverts because of the public computers I thought that being sent mail would be my best option.

HTmail allows companies based around your interests that you have already filled in a form stating, send you mail about new products etc. If you cannot be bothered to actually go to the website, you click on an address that sends to HTmail that you've read the e-mail, and you get 5p for doing that. However, if you go into the site and fill in a short form about the website you get 15p.

Sadly, I have only managed to get 30p so far and I've been a member since February. I've gone to each web site that has been sent to me but I have only received a tiny amount of mail. It looks like the interests I have aren't really catered for.

You are supposed to be able to receive a cheque after you reach £5.00 which is good as there's no need for exchanges from dollars like most other sites like this. And, after every HTmail you reply to they send you a receipt and a balance of how much you've earned.

Good luck with this site, it's a good idea that should be much better then the other similar sites and yet I still haven't really gained anything!
