Htmail is a site which will either benefit you as the owner of a website or benefit the rest of us as the owners of an email address. Yes, its yet another paid email scheme but one which actually might be worth signing up for this time.

We all know what these email schemes are about.you sign up with them and they send you emails from advertisers. Each time you read one, and prove you have done so(well at least clicked the link) they pay you a pittance for doing so. Great - within 10 years you may have enough money in your account to meet the minimum cash out level. Well that is how most of these sites work. This one is a little different - but you have to do a little more work for your money. When Htmail sends you an email you click a linkto visit the advertisers site as usual and get paid for doing so. You will also get a pop-up form for giving feedback on the advertisers site - filling this in will gain you more money. But the really big difference is that they actually give you a reasonable amount for doing so! You are given two different membership options when you sign up: Referring Class or Personal Class, which dictate how much you get paid as below:

Personal Class: £0.05 for reading the email and an additional £0.10 for returning the feedback form. No Referalls here.

Referring Class: UK £0.01 for reading the email and an additional £0.07 for returning the feedback form. BUT you also get £0.02 for each feedback form returned by someone you referred AND an additional £0.01 for each feedback form returned by THEIR referrals.

When you first join you will find that you are set to Referring Class by default as obviously they want you to refer other people to the scheme but you can change that with a couple of clicks of the mouse should you so wish.

I have to say that I tried a few of these types of schemes when I was new to the net and was less than impressed, vowing to never touch them again. They usually paid around
$0.01 for each email sent or read - $0.03 at the most and you had a cat in hell's chance of reaching the minimum cash-out level..well not in this lifetime anyway. Htmail looked different though so I was tempted to give them a go...and I have to say that I have been impressed so far with them. They are true to their word and do send you emails and pay £0.15 per read+returned form. I have to say though that they have been rather poor in sending out emails recently, but they tend to come in spurts. I'll get none for a fortnight then 6 in one week.I suppose it depends on whether you match the advertiser's target group...or something.

They have recently added another way in which you can earn - paying you £0.03 for being added to mailing lists...but I get enough unsolicited junk without adding to it, although I suppose you could always set up a new email address with one of the millions of free services out there and let them spam away 'til their pants rot off...no one said you ever had to look at it.

In all, it all seems rather good so far, although whether they deliver on their promises is another thing altogether. It is certainly one of the few UK based companies offering this and that is a point in its favour already. Its worth at least checking out I think.

I don't think I could stand a load of junk waiting for me every time I log on, my door mat gets full enough :-)
