As a fairly decent web designer you get a better feel as to what tutorial sites are good and explain things in an easy to understand manner. HTML Goodies is a great site which has all the ingredients for making learning successful and enjoyable.
Each area of HTML is broken down into sections and then further sub-sections which if taken in a step-by-step manner allow the user to progress at a steady pace and give them the confidence and enthusiasm to proceed to the next level.
Too many sites are either badly written or written with 'programmers' in mind, i.e., too much technical jargon.
It is for this reason that even experienced HTML coders find this site useful for learning the basics of new areas of web design.
The only downside, but not a major one is the style of writing can sometimes appear 'cheesy'!
So if you want to know how it's done, be able to do it yourself and get joy from learning new things, go to this site.
