Advantages: great place for writing and building up profile while earing income

Disadvantages: won't get rich quick, no adult material

If you have ever thought about writing articles online, becoming an author, publising poems, logging your thoughts and ideas or just publishing a blog then Hubpages could be a great place to start. Hubpages is similar to having your own blog, except that each post is seperate and can be on a totally different subject. You can write your article on just about any topic you want, as long as it isn't adult material. Each article you submit can contain text, pictures and links and you are then asked to submit tags.

Aswell as making your name as an author, Hubpages also allows you to use customized Google Adsense adverts on each of your hubs in order to create revenue. Further to this you can also have referral adverts for Amazing.com and you get paid for each signup. Affiliate advertising isn't a particularly great way of making money if you're looking to earn fast, but it's certainly a good place to start.

Hubpages also offers statistics, so you can see how many times your hubs are being viewed each day or month and also informs you about which search engines your traffic is coming from.

Hubpages works very well with all the major search engines, but at it's best with Google. I have only been with Hubpages for a couple of months now and have written approximately forty hubs. Already I have received over 2,500 hits on my hubs and earned myself ten regular fans.
