Advantages: I'm not not sure as I'm not an accomplished voyeur.
Disadvantages: Made me feel quite sleepy
This site is a 'Peeping Tom's' paradise. It isn't something that I would normally have looked at on the web but I must admit that I found it funny, in a perverted sort of a way. So, off I went to investigate.
To put it in a nutshell. you get to view, via a webcam, of every room in this house. It's the home of a perfectly 'normal' Dutch couple, so don't expect weird and titilating goings on.
You can inspect the contents of the fridge, or keep an eye on the bathroom. Weird? Well, you tell me! Didn't I just say it was a weird and titilating site. I suppose it depends on your inclinations. Watching a bathroom waiting for a flush isn't, I must admit, up in my top ten things to do on a wet and windy afternoon.
There's a weblog on the page that gives you a commentary of dates, times and events. It even tells you when they last had mail delivered (as if you are interested). I thought that there must be more amusement to be had from this site. The home page is full of stuff but nothing really caught my imagination. The graphics aren't very good here and they took a few minutes to load, so I was starting to get bored. However, I did investigate a bit further.
I read through the weblog and found a link to the 'new toilet' web cam. This took me to a list of toilet temperatures, flush durations and even some graphs plotting these things over time. I then clicked on the 'webcam' link which is listed at the top of the page beneath the banner (very small and hard to find).
It says on this page that the webcams are switched on 24/7 and that the page refreshes every two minutes. There are ten cameras here but the resulting pictures are dark and not very well defined. They takes a wjile to load into your browser too.
A click on the picture marked 'kitchen' revealed nothing but an empty kitchen. I guess that the Dutch occupants are not in!
The desk web
cam revealed exactly that, a desk.
Doorbell revealed a door! This was starting to get kind of predictable.
The garage and garden revealed nothing exciting and a live view of their active desktop was totally inactive.
So, my first expedition into the world of voyeurism was far from exciting. It probably isn't a good time of day for that sort of thing. I'm quite disappointed but there again, I suppose it serves me right.
Maybe I'm just not a very skilled pervert!
