Well idrive is brilliant for such backups, I have all of the Leisure and Tourism coursework on there as a backup, and its brilliant if you need to get a file from College to your home computer, just save it in the online drive and download it back at home. The site is very fast and extremely easy to use...best of all, the 50 MB of space (thats a helluvalot, about 35 floppy disk's worth) is abseloutly free! Theres also a neat little program which you can download to your desktop, you can just drag an drop your files into there and it will save them to your online drive. Its a little dodgy, but hope... more |

In our Leisure and Tourism classes, our teacher is always telling us to keep copies of work we have done in as many different places as possible, he tells us this story of a girl who lost her folder with 1 1/2 years work in when her bag got nicked from her car but she was able to catch up in a metter of weeks because she had saved it all. The I-drive.com website is well designed easy to use and intresting. The storage it self is first class. Easy access it can get files from other members in seconds. You can update and modify easily and fast.They give you lots of space which is good if your hardrive is full another good thing is you can acces it from anywhere in the world. It is private with username and password protection. It is very reliable but there are ads on the site but what can you expect for free. ...

I know a number of people have been very impressed with the offerings at i-drive and I have to a certain extent, but myself and a friend of mine have both had problems with this service. The service first came to my attention when I saw it advertised on one of my advert bars. I thought that it looked interesting so I went to have a look at it and signed up immediately. I thought it would be a handy way to share files with my friends without having to send big, slow e-mails.
