How many times have you sat and watched a film or TV show and have seen a familiar face and thought where do i know he/she from? You will sit wracking your brain for hours until you find a answer that doesn't sit right but you accept it anyway knowing deep down that your wrong. Or if your like me let it drive you mad so much it becomes all consuming and you have to go for a lie down only to wake up at 4 in the morning screaming the name of some random film terrifying your partner, but you breath a sigh of relief and who cares at least you can sleep now.

Well with imdb.com these things will never happen again. This website has it all from news of upcoming movies and rumours, a whats playing US and UK plus release dates for upcoming films, whats coming out on DVD/BLU-ray/HD, a whole host of blogs and links to trailers and message boards. Now have i left something out.

Oh yes, this website has the worlds biggest movie library and i have never looked for a film regardless of how obscure it may be and it not be found instantly. The Search bar at the top of the screen allows you to input one of many searches ie you can search by Movie Title, Actor, Character, Production Companies, Even Quotes (so makes it brilliant for cheating at quizzes). Once you have found what you are looking for this brings up the main page, A film for example will have the name, director, writers, producers, actors, release date, run time everything you could need to know about it. Down the right of the page is a whole host of extras like soundtrack listings, goofs, quotes and loads of fun things.

The best thing about this website is once you get to the page pretty much everything from there is a link, so say that guy you really liked in a film you can click on his name get his biography and a history of all the films he has done. You can spend hours doing this and believe me i have.

A friend and I used to play a game and it was along the lines of one of us would start with a actors name or a film title and with 6 clicks on links you had to get to another actor a film chosen by your friend, in a kind of 6 degrees of separation type game.

Yes I am a geek and yes i do spend way too much time on this website but believe once you try it you will be a convert
