IMDB is in my humble opinion, the internet's premiere searchable movie information web site. It claims it has movies from 1890 to a few years into the present. Admittedly the earliest film I ever saw there was Dickson's "Carmencita Dancing" 1892. Anyway I don't feel like complaining about the missing two years. Over all it is a wonderful resource for anything and everything about any movie from practically the beginning of cinema to today and beyond. It includes movies from every nation that has produced motion pictures. It includes the title, the actors, the writer(s), the director (s), technical crew, reviews from professionals and just folks. You can even add your own review, commercial links, gaffs, interesting tidbits, official web sites for the moving picture, when it will be on TV, merchandise, and much more. You can search by title, name, character, plot etc. Once you are on a movie site you can click on any link and than you will see everything connected with that link. Example. Let's say you did a search for Rocky Horror Picture Show. You get to the site and you see under actors Tim Curry. You click on the actors name. You are than automatically taken to a page where everything Mr Curry has ever professionally done in films is listed. Click on any link on any movie and the entire body of that person's cinematic work is instantly displayed. Of course this depends on the speed of your isp connection. Also getting back to Rocky Horror you will notice it was made in 1975. You can click on the year and it gives you every film relieased in 1975. This is true of any year clicked. You can also be clicking on the country and get all the movies made in that country. This is true of any film link. It is a great site to do film web surfing and just plain fun and quite informative with a wealth of information on films.
