Absolute sheeite! Failed collection on a parcel I was sending to myself on a 24 hour ticket. Rebooked two days later, making it over a weekend, asked for part refund as the service was now well outside the 24 next day remit with them failing to collect midweek. The rebooked day failed too. The person sat in two whole days for this priviledge. No emails, notifications- nothing. Not even able to offer any sort of viable excuse. Gave up and cancelled and asked for refund. They are very very poor.
Firstly my business and my many employees WHERE regular users of Interparcel. The parcel number was 9566982 so this is not a bogus review. They claim a delivery was attempted however no one turned up that day and no card was put through our door. Only made aware by Interparcel that a delivery was attempted 12 days later and I asked it to be redelivered. The company sent my parcel back 9 days after I asked for re delivery. Customer services emailed me to say they 'would' rearrange the delivery (I have their email here) and now they tell me it was a typo. They want to wash their hands of responsibility and try to blame the customer. Was not even offered a refund or recollection, which we would have been happy with. I told Jim Bird the customer services manager that I would write a review on this website and he said he would have it taken down - guess they have this happen a lot.
I was moving from UK to Norway so I decided to use Inter parcel to send some of my used goods. I put together everything (Old uses cloths, shoes, blankets) and did all the formalities like custom clearance receipts etc. I paid around £29 for the box and off it went. It was delivered in Norway on time promptly. After a week or so I got a letter from UPS in Oslo saying that I have to pay 700 Krones (About £70) fee. I was puzzled and called them to check it. They told me that I have 'declared my items value as £200' so now I have to pay VAT of £70 in Norway. I mean what the hell? These are USED OLD ITEMS and why am I paying a VAT on them? When I filled the web form I did put the value as £200 as I thought it was just a general question. I thought this is for insurance? But come on. I went on Live chat with them asking for help. I was kept waited and ignored. The lady on the other end "Stacey" never even bothered replying to me. What a day light robbery ! Worst delivery company ever combined with UPS (Another terrible company) 0 customer service skills as well. DO NOT USE THEM TO SEND GOODS ABOARD. IT WILL COST YOU A FORTUNE (HIDDEN FEES) AND NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
I ordered an expensive delivery to the US, paid, printed out all the labels and popped the export invoices on the box. When the courier came, she looked at the box and said "you need to have invoices on the outside." then promptly walked off, even though (if she'd spent 3 second looking) the invoices were in a clearly-marked envelope on the other side of the package. Did I mention she didn't even look over the box when she arrived?
That's 1 day off wasted.
After a call to complain, I was told that the courier would return in (wait for it) 10 days time. 10 days! So I booked another day off, and waited. And waited. And waited. The courier never showed up. I called Interparcel, who refused to apologise or pick up the parcel that day. I was told to take another day off and wait. So they expected me to waste 3 days off after paying through the nose for a delivery? Absolutely ridiculous.
I finally managed to harangue them into picking the parcel up from my work, but even then they said it'd be anytime between 8am-6pm. I told them I'd only be in that day til 3pm, and they still said "up til 6pm". Even though when you book online you can pick times, this is a courtesy they won't extend to you when they fail to pick up your parcel for nearly 2 weeks.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. There must be dozens of companies to use that aren't Interparcel, and I'd try them all out to avoid this lot.
I have only used interparcel a few times, but it is a handy way to compare the costs and services of a range of carriers and levels of service. I usually end up using one near the cheap end of the range, but whichever carrier I have used through interparcel has always given good service. It is worth noting that whichever carrier you choose, many of them subcontract obviously, so even if you try to avoid one which has disappointed in the past, they may well be the one that comes to collect or deliver!
This was my first experience dealing with interparcel.I had been badly let down by Parcelforce who had promised (and charged for) next day delivery. They failed to collect the parcel over a day and a half. Miserable service from Parcelforce but TNT (via interparcel) were a breathe of fresh air. They charged one third of the Parcelforce rate and completed the delivery in less than 24 hours from the inception of the request.As stated in my header, a very welcome and effective "lifesaver" service from the TNT/Interparcel partnership.First rate service and will be first choice next time round.Barney Wordsworth.
I sent a parcel to Rwanda Kigali, I was very surprised as to the speed of delivery, also everything was ok on arrival in Rwanda no damage. I would not hesitate to recommend you to friends well done regards MR andrew Miller
Quick, easy, no travelling to the post office necessary! Very competitive rates too. And I could get the parcel ready late at night - not tied to office hours, therefore. I had a heavy parcel - it would have been a real bore to get it to a post office. No hesitation in recommending this service, and I'll use it again for parcels which are less than 8 kilos! I wouldn't have had a clue how to get the parcel ready for sending but the shipping label and address label are really easy to download and stick to the packet, so not even a minor hitch there either.
Arranged collection of a parcel, with interparcel and paid via paypal. Sent copies of the parcel labels to my customer who printed them and taped them to the parcel and the courier never turned up!!! Sent Interparcel an email, got an apology and they said they had arranged another collection for the next day. Guess what, they didn't turn up again!!! I asked for a refund and arranged collection with City Link instead!! This is the first time I have used Interparcel and I will never use them again.
I sent a large heavy 42kg parcel to france using interparcel to find the best deal. The service was good picked up at the given time by a very helpful driver. Unfortunatly the parcel was a bit squashed on arrival, but that is probably due more to my packing abilities. It would have been better to send 2 smaller parcels and probably the smae price. When sending so big a parcel, it would be intersting if in the research options there is a posabillity to devide parcels over say 30kg to make customers aware that 2 smaller parcels could be cheeper than 1 large one. Also the parcel seemed to hang around a long time at the Paris airport before carring on its jouney
Interparcel is a good platform for finding the best rate available for you parel. however a pop up or something similar when sending a large heavy parcel to think of 2 parcels would have been useful.
Yes, this was the first time that I have used a Courier Service, so I was a little concerned about the reliability as I had read some pretty bad Reviews. Putting my worries aside I booked a delivery with Interparcel, to be collected from Rural Scotland & delivered to Rural France. The item was a large box of my Grandaughter's personal belongings. The courier collected the box on the date arranged, and I was able to track it's journey easily online as it sped to it's destination. Any concerns I had vanished when my Grandaughter phoned to say it had arrived safely & on time. I will use Interparcel again without hesitation.
I needed to send two large boxes of my student daughter's possessions to her in Edinburgh. I checked moneysavingexpert.com and came to Interparcel. This is only the second time I had used a courier service. The first time with another provider was hopeless - they failed to collect, the excuse being that the collecting courier's handheld device had failed and all records of ours and numerous other transactions for the day were entirely lost. Interparcel were perfect (almost - see below). You can select your courier and I went for UPS. The large, somewhat heavy, boxes were collected by a personable and helpful fellow in the middle of my nominated time slot and I was able to track progress on the internet. It was only at the last stage when the website announced, around 27 hours after collection, that they had been delivered to "Faulconbridge" that I got a bit worried! However, a quick call to my daugther confirmed that they had been received - undamaged and in good order. Overall, I am very happy with the service and will probably do the same thing again - anything to get out of the 600 mile roundtrip drive to Edinburgh to deliver my daughter and her worldly goods personally!
Very pleased with the service - courier arrived early in the day - great way to send larger or bulky items. Prices are very reasonable which makes it much easier to offer a delivery service for those items on auction sites that are normally marked for collection only
I found Interparcel to be great value for money. I could track my parcel's progress throughout it's journey. My parcel went form England to the South of France in a couple of days. The main thing was that it arrived undamaged. I would definitely use them again.
Excellent and easy to use service. Parcel Collected and delivered on time.
