Advantages: Free rewards
Disadvantages: I've done most of them now
I have been using this website on and off for years now, since it was Ipoints. It is a points rewards system where you earn points for various actions and cash them in for gifts from their catalogue. I've had quite a few rewards from these now and haven't spent much money, 95% of these points came from free clicks and sign ups.
You get your first points for signing up, the only information you really need is a username, password, email and address.
You will receive surveys via email to complete that can be worth anywhere between around 50-500 points (maximiles). You can opt out of receiving emails if you wish. Other emails are just links to websites and you will receive 5 points for clicking these.
The free points can be earned in various ways, a new features is the maximiles toolbar which you receive 100 points for downloading and a further point for every 2 searches completed.
Many free points can be earned by signing up for email newsletters, requesting brochures or catalogues and free sim cards etc. I earned thousand of free points over the years for signing up for things but have done most of them now and new ones don't appear very often.
Watching short adverts can earn you free points, also requesting quotes for car insurance etc.
The shopping points is great as they have so many partners, they might give you a point for each point spent up to 10 points per pound spent depending on which online store you are using. The good thing about it is the variety of partners. I recently deposited £10 on a gambling website (which I was going to do anyway) and because I clicked through to the site from the maximiles page I was rewarded with 6500 points for joining. A lot of high street stores are on the website, and travel pages so it is always worth checking to see if they are on the partners list before ordering online.
Examples of partners:
Hotels.com, PC World, Pizza hut, Boots, B&Q, Littlewoods, Tesco direct, Debenhams, Toys R Us, Monsoon, Miss Selfridge and hundreds more!
You can choose rewards from the catalogue, these could be aftershaves/perfume, dvds, magazine subscriptions, flowers, day's out and for more points electrical items such as I Pads and DVD players.
You do not have a time limit in which you have to redeem your points, so if you see something in the catalogue you fancy you can save your points up for them but I prefer to get the vouchers and think they prove to be more value for your points. Your gifts or vouchers will be posted out to you within 14 days.
The last points I cashed in were last week, I was ordering bridesmaids shoes from Debenhams and saw that they were a maximiles partner so used the maximiles page to link me to Debenhams. I received around 400 maximiles for my order, together with the 6500 I received for joining a gambling website, plus a few survey points I reached 8000 points. I cashed in 7780 points for £30 in John Lewis vouchers which have arrived and have a year'x expiration date so I gave them to my mum who is going to hang onto it until I have enough for another couple of vouchers and treat herself.
I have previously had a couple of bottles of aftershave (what a generous girlfriend I am......little do they know it was free haha), a £50 curry's voucher which I used to purchase and MP3 player, £30 boots vouchers to buy holiday toiletries and sun cream, £20 leisure vouchers which I spent on a couple of trips to Pizza Hut.
Considering I don't do shopping online much except for those mentioned above, the majority of my rewards came for free. It's a good site especially for those who do order a lot of stuff online. All of my rewards came swiftly and in good condition with no complaints.
I would definitely recommend having a look at the website, you can browse the partners and rewards before signing up to anything. Any free rewards can't be a bad thing!
If anyone is interested in joining and would like me to send a referral please inbox me :)
Summary: A good site which can reward you generously for shopping online
