Advantages: Easy to join, ok surveys, low payout threshold.
Disadvantages: Do not receive enough surveys to really make any money.
I have been a member of Ipsos Access Panel for about six months now and it is one of the few that I have been paid out from, therefore I suppose it is one of the better survey sites out there.
It is easy to join Ipsos, you fill out a simple registration form and then a few weeks later you will start receiving invitations for surveys. If you join via a cashback website you will also get cashback just for simply joining, I think the average amount for Ipsos is about 75p. So 75p in your pocket before you've even done anything.
When you recieve and email inviting you to a survey you click on the link and then you will be asked a few profile questions such as sex, age, location etc just make sure you match the profile of people they are wanting to survey. The majority of the time I have found I qualified for the surveys I was invited to.
The surveys are always consumer based, market research into new products, more often than not food products but also cleaning materials, air freshners. They can often be boring and repetitive but most surveys are anyway.
The surveys vary in length but I would say the average is about 20 minutes. It will tell you in your email how long it is expected to take and unlike other sites, mentioning no names (lightspeed) they never take longer than is specified.
You are rewarded on completion with points, again varying amounts but usually 175 points for a 20 minute survey.
The points aren't added to your account until a few days later so this is something you have to check.
I also forgot to mention when you don't qualify for a survey they will still credit your account with 10 points.
Once you start to accumulate points you can then exchange these for rewards. A £5 gift voucher for a high street store will cost you 750 points. This will take a few weeks to arrive.
In all the time I have been a member I have received two £5 boots vouchers, which I know is not a lot but I have been a member of other sites and have still got anything in return. I seem to get about one survey a week.
To conclude Ipsos is an ok site to join, I have made some money, all be it a small amount. It is better than others of which I am a member and have not received any awards. I am yet to find a survey site which gives you regular surveys for a reasonable reward and doesn't have a ridiculously high payout threshold..................maybe there isn't any out there???????
Summary: £10 in six months, is it worth the time spent filling out survery?
