Advantages: Good for musicians, can sell music through upgraded account

iSound is a social networking music website, similar to Myspace, except aimed at both signed and unsigned musicians and fans and listeners. In the same way that a musician can set up a profile page on Myspace with their biography, tracks and up and coming shows, they can also do this on iSound and build up a network of fans.

iSound also offers musicians the opportunity to sell their music through their website, though you would have to upgrade to a paid account and iSound take a certain percentage.

The site itself is laid out quite well and fairly simple to use. The one disadvantage is that you can't use your artist account to sign in as a listener and vice versa - you need one account for each.

iSound is very similar to most other social networking sites but if you remain active here, then you should find yourself earning new fans quite rapidly, if you are a musician.

Summary: Myspace for musicians
