Its obvious that it is the cls themselves who are posting to each other and the these boards are cliquely and unfriendly. They also show a disturbing lean towards ant semitism. It snot possible to appeal to the manged ment of ivillage at all. A dangerous web site showing only one set of veiws and opinions.... more

I found Ivillage.com, the American sister site of Ivillage.co.uk first and thought it was a great site. The U.K site has obviously more relevancy for me living in the U.K. It is basically a women's issue online magazine. It has an outstanding message board which touches on topices from dealing with stress to managing career and children. Also has a gay message board so is definately not just catering to working mums as some may believe. I log onto this site daily to keep up to date with trivial items such as horoscopes and fashion, and also to discuss topics such as kids work, family life stress etc which can affet us all. It is a great site and has alot of links to ...  Read the complete review

ivillage.com and ivillage.co.uk is the site which is designed for the woman of today. It covers a range of topics which interest and affect women at one time or another, from diet and fitness to home and family to the workforce. It is fantastically written, with the more serious subjects being written in simple to understand everyday language, without the patronising tones. ivillage also has its fun side too, with a number of "tests" and quizzes. I have used the site frequently when I have had questions that needed answering, and the advice you find on the site is up to date and informative. ivillage covers issues such as recent laws and ...  Read the complete review

I can't do jack on the internet exept dooyoo. I can't write HTML. I spent some time online looking for a homepage host who could help me make a site. Most plaes offer a couple of templates, all of which are cheesey to the extreme. i was surprised by the sheer number of options on ivillage - you can put together a fiarly unusual and personal site from their kits, without really needing to know anything much. Most aspects of the construction kit are self explanatory, and for the more complicated bits like adding other people's HTML, ivillage message boards can and do offer a lot of advice and support. I built my site in an afternoon, and am very happy with it. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review ivillage.com: I Got Answers, and so will you (542 words)

www.ivillage.co.uk is a site that a lot of Dooyooers will be familiar with as it was the subject of many banner ads not so long ago. I recently saw it advertised in a womens magazine, so I thought I would give it a look, and after just one visit it was bookmarked. The site started up in America, and was initially aimed at women, although now it has been adapted for the British market, it is as appealing to men as it is to women. It is billed as "The site where women find answers", and in my case this was very true. When you join ivillage you are also given a free e mail account. Joining the site does not produce any surprises. ...  Read the complete review
