Just returned from 2 weeks at Villa Iantho, Vasilikades, Fiscardo, Kefalonia courtesy of James Villas. Self and partner enjoyed glorious sunshine every day. Full package of flights, car hire, villa, air-con and welcome pack. Kefalonia is our Greek Island of choice being friendly, laid back, not too busy (except July/August), beautiful scenery etc etc we have visited 5 times. What can never be guaranteed is the villa, its facilities and location and invariably expectations created by the Brochure/Online description are not lived up to in reality. So here is what the Villa Company left out of the brochure.-----
Main Road Argostoli-Fiscardo runs approx 50 metres from villa so always aware of traffic noise; Terraces overlook olive groves and grape vines of neighbours smallholdings in which their dogs were permanently chained outside - not noisy but pathetic and distressing to watch particularly as they had no social interaction at all; Mattresses on beds so thin and hard that sleep was near impossible; cooker hood so badly positioned next to sink that I hit my head on the corner & drew blood so many times I gave up washing dishes; Microwave but no suitable containers to use in it (all crockery had gold metallic edgings which sparked and burnt in the oven); BBQ badly positioned outside the front-door; Welcome Pack (£20) was the bare minimum and would have cost the maid under £10 to purchase; safe had instructions to gain access which did not work. On the plus side the lounge furniture is comfortable, the swimming pool was spotless and not too deep (although the access ladder was loose and the noise from the pump house was sometimes intrusive ), the outside furniture was good quality and comfortable, the sat tv worked, the air con in the bedrooms was most welcome and the fridge/freezer was a good size with ice tray.
Would we choose this villa again? Probably not unless it was half the brochure price!

Summary: Not one of James Villas best.
