Having worked within H.E. for the past five years, I have found this website to be indispensible. I don't know of another website where you can search for H.E. specific jobs. The website lists jobs ranging from acadamic to clerical to manual, so pretty much anything and everything you could be employed as within an H.E. setting. You can conduct searches based on keyword, salary or location and you can set up email alerts so that once a week you'll get a list of jobs through that match the criteria you've set up. The vacancies are mainly from UK organizations, however there are overseas as well. The site is very easy to use and navigate. www.jobs.ac.uk is an excellent place to look for jobs related to academia. The site is quick to load and there are several facilities available to you to narrow down your search to the specific areas that are relevant to you. This is an excellent resource for anyone seeking an academic post. You can search by keyword or browse your subject area. The descriptions of the jobs are detailed and frequently provide links to the relevant website so that you can find out more about the post, the department or the university in general. On occasions, it includes online application forms which saves time and postage with the reassurance of an email response so that you know that your precious application has been received.
