This site is great. It is basically all the jobs that are advertised in The Guardian on a weekly basis. So it saves you having to buy the paper - if that is all you buy it for and saves having to sit and trawl through all the vacancies. The best thing about it is that it allows you to search on area as I find this the biggest problem with the Guardian. You can search through all the jobs find one that is interesting but it is not in the area in which you live. Definitely one of the best jobsites around, largely because it is one of the Guardian family of websites, which are, in my opinion, the best UK-based news and information sources on the net. The Guardian connection does have it's limitations, as the jobs to be found here have a bias towards the kind of public sector and media jobs which are the mainstay of the print edition's vacancies adverts. That said, if you want a public sector or media job, the site is very attractive to look at, very simple to navigate, and has lots of useful articles in the related Workunlimited site. I love this site - it saves me so much time. I just do a trawl once a week and scan for anything of interest. (I do actually have a very good job - but - well, you never know do you?). You can go for a straight forward search from the home page and search through various categories like Media, Education, Health, IT etc. However, with so much cross-sectoral work these days it makes sense to include all categories, I think. I would suggest that this is the best employement site around at the moment. It is in conjunction with the Gaurdian newspaper and as such features all the jobs in the paper and more. Saves you buying the Gaurdian every Wednesday at least. The range and number of jobs is by far the best i've seen on any employment site, and it is easy to navigate and search for your job. You can search by category, input keywords and designate the approx salary you would like and geographical location you would like to work in.
