I'm a rooky journalist, I write for various websites, am Editor of my own music site and have written for a Time Out Guide (not long ago I would have thought this was impressive but experience shows me this is the tip of the iceberg - there are many, many more seasoned writers than me struddling to make ends meet!) but although this site is explicitly aimed at professional practising journalists it is also very useful for journalism students and freelancers just starting out (i.e. me!).
