Most UK registered charities are connected to the justgiving site, and charities can add themselves. Justgiving.com is a website for charities and fundraisers to enable them to accept online donations and publish their fundraising efforts online. *Layout and navigation* The website is very simply laid out. The homepage contains a changing array of people's photos and the amount they have raised through justgiving. You can use the search bars to search for a friend who is being sponsored, or search for a charity to donate to (though I would recommend you do this in another way as justgiving do take a cut of the donations). In the top right hand corner is an icon to allow you to sign up to make a fundraising page. Scrolling down there is news ... Read the complete review

I've just written a review on marathons and it made me think about Just Giving. My brother recommended the site when I ran my first marathon and was collecting sponsorship. The idea behind Just Giving is a simple one, which tends to work the best. You register with the site and create a page for a sponsorship event you are completing. People then visit the site, enter their details and pledge sponsorship. Simple. Money is sent to the charity once the event has taken place. You can customise the page, add photos and comments and generally make it the centre of your fundraising activity. The site is easy to use, simple to navigate and you can use the ... This is probably now the best way to collect money or fundraise for a charitable organisation. It is also probably the most secure way. Gone are the days of collecting in buckets and filing in forms with details. Everything is done online like you would pay for normal shopping online you can donate to a charity or worthy cause. I have actually used it recently after taking part in an event for the Maggies Cancer Charity and set up a page to try and raise funds. A number of other people I know have also used Justgiving in order to raise money when doing charity events themselves. Justgiving started out in the year 2000 as a private company which dealt with the ... Read the complete review

Justgiving is a site which lets you create a page about your fundraising efforts and your friends and family can donate to you by it, it has a running total and also your target. Justgiving is very good in many ways, I think its certainly changed the way we donate and encourages more donations, especially in this digital day and age, if someone who is on a forum your on is doing a sponsored event, would you be more likely to donate with just a few clicks or to find your old cheque book and put one in the post? Another good thing is the money goes straight to the chosen charity, no chance for people to claim they are giving it but then not. Another ... Read the complete review

justgiving.co.uk is an excellent website that not only allows you to raise funds for the charity of your choice but also allows you to collect money from people all over the world and lets them stick it to the tax-man by claiming the tax back. How it works: You log into their web page, generally if you're already doing fundraising for a charity like in some kind of sponsored event you'll access this via your charity's website, register an account, design a page (very easily done, if you can add a picture to your Dooyoo page you can designa justgiving page) and e-mail the address of your page to all & sundry. When someone wants to sponsor ... Read the complete review
