Advantages: Free, get something even if you just get one number.
Disadvantages: Don't win very big prizes even if you win 6 numbers.
Having read a review on here today, with a somewhat negative attitude towards Kingolotto I thought I would put a positive slant on the same category, kind of like a debate class.
Following recent changes to Bananalotto, that and now this site are very very very similar.
I've been playing Kingolotto for a few months now and though I haven't won any prizes I have accumulated over 23000 points, below is the explanation of how and "lets see what you could have won".
It's free to register and you get 10 grids each day to play with. Each grid is made up of 49 numbers, and you select 6, which is made up solely of 6 main numbers. In order to validate a game grid you need to click on one of the ads, out of a choice of 4, which opens in that window and then a pop-up will appear confirming your entry. You click on the link in the small window to close that and return to your original window to play your next grid. Once you've played all 10 grids then that's it. You get the results the next day. Unlike Bananalotto you get an extra hour and until midnight UK time to play your games by.
For matching any numbers you get points, 1-4 will give you the following:
1 number - 10 points
2 numbers - 25 points
3 numbers - 40 points
4 numbers - 100 points. (I always thought it was 150 but this seems to have changed, or i'm mad)
You also get 1000 points for telling a friend.
These points are added together each day and added to your account, and won't go anywhere unless you spend them. Of course, there are a few novelty prizes for under 10000, unless you get really bored I would wait as once you get about 12000 points you're into DVD territory, theres a decent selection, eg Constantine, The Prestige (bloody good film, not yet reviewed), and Brokeback Mountain. You can get about 75-100 points a day on average so you can certainly get a couple of free DVD's a year or save for a 1GB USB Key at 20,000 points. I play about 80% of the time and over a year I've built up just shy of 23,000 points, with a bit of luck and more regular playing I reckon 30,000 wouldn't be out of reach.
There are special draws where you can win a prize just for playing your 10 grids each day.
Of course there is also the cash prizes which are:
5 numbers (grid 1-9) - £15 vouchers
5 numbers (grid 10) - £30 vouchers
6 numbers (grid 1-9) - £3,000 holiday
6 numbers (grid 10) - £10,000 car
I've never won anything other than points but it takes less than 5 minutes a day to play so I'm going to keep playing it.
Summary: Good free lotto

- 22/07/08 I started using this, but got a little bit bored and forgot about it. I think I'll go back to the site and start using it again- at least until I get enough points to claim a DVD |
