Disadvantages: Poor return for the time it takes
Kingolotto:
I started using Kingolotto a couple of years ago probably because I got points or something from one of those cash-back sites.
Kingolotto is a free "lottery" site. Each day you get ten game grids to play and you simply have to pick six numbers from 1 to 49 by clicking on them within the grid, clicking on the "random selection" button or choosing your previously saved "lucky numbers". After you have selected your numbers you have to click on a banner ad to validate your entry. Each validation takes about 30 seconds.
Everyday around midnight six numbers are "drawn" by Kingolotto and if you match 1-4 numbers in any one grid you will win points, if you match 5 numbers in any one grid you will get a £15.00 voucher, (£30.00 if you win on the 10th "bonus" grid), and 6 numbers will win you a holiday worth £3000 on grids 1-9 and car worth £10,000 on the 10th "bonus" grid. I have never won a voucher or a holiday/car but I do win points.
You can exchange your points for prizes from magnets to books and DVDs, (from a very limited list), vouchers and a memory stick. The prizes are of very low value but I usually get two DVDs or books a year and it doesn't take very long each day. If you have a busy life or a job then this is probably one to give a miss but if you have nothing better to do, (like me), then you may as well do it each day.
There is a tombola as well for a random prize, (ranging from £15.00 vouchers and food processors upto cars and holidays). Tombola tickets cost 40 points each but I have never entered one.
Sometimes the site runs a top winners competition where they reward the top 30 Kingolotto players, (the 30 that earn the most points in a given time), with vouchers.
Registration is really easy, simply fill out the form with all the usual details and click on the conformation email. They don't spam you but you get one email a day letting you know how many points you have won on the previous days draw, this email also serves as a reminder to do the draw.
Navigation is simple, just click on the link for where you want to go. It really is a simple as that. The site looks cheaply professional if you know what I mean and it works. I have never found it down or working slow.
As I said before it's really only worth doing if you have nothing better to do with your time but there is still the chance that you may be lucky and win the holiday or car! There is a near identical site called bananalotto that you can do too.
Summary: A free lotto site
