Advantages: Nice layout, free money
Disadvantages: Slow, Poor odds
Im one of those people that like a little flutter, even though the advantage og gambling online was taxfree has now reached the high street I still prefer it. I joined Ladbrokes as I was familiar with the name and is a respectable bookmaker on the high street and therefore presumed it would be online. I wanted to try online casinos, and with so many American online one's and other 'unheard of' casinos, I thought that Ladbrokes would be my 'best bet'. Ive spent a few pounds within the casino to say the least and very rarely won much though I think I'm about even overall. The casino software is available to download, the basic version is around 4megs and the full casino around 14megs. You now can also order the CDrom too, and have it delivered to your home. I was surprised to find that I had been given £25 for free, to play with. Naturally you had to gamble it all before you could draw it out, so I did. I won £20 back from it and haven't been back since! The reason I haven't been back is I now know that casinos are very dangerous, its too easy to spend lots of money very quickly as it is not like handing real money over. However, I do still flutter on football and tennis, etc. But not at Ladbrokes. Ladbrokes do not offer very good odds, other respectable online bookmakers, e.g. offer much better odds than Ladbrokes, so natuarally I would go there. Ladbroke's website has a tendancy to be very slow when loading, and the choice of bets can be limited (for a large corporation), compared to bet365. I would recommend that everyone takes advantage of the free £25 bet, and the matching bet of £20 on the horses, etc (ie you bet £20 and they match it). But once you've spent that, cash it out and to bet365 or Paddy Power

- 08/11/01 I have not been enamoured with any of the on line bookies, they never seem to cover enough bets. |
