Right, I'm going to put it right out there: I think Last.FM is undoubtedly one of the greatest technologies that the internet has to offer. This revolutionary software proves anyone that thinks "you don't get something for nothing" wrong. Absolutely free of charge, you are given access to an incredibly accurate machine that takes in to account your musical listening trends, and based on this, suggests similar artists that are likely to interest you.

How? Well, quite simply, Last FM "scrobbles" all the music play counts from your iTunes, Windows Media Player and iPod/iPhone and compares it with the listening trends of the thousands of other members of the site. Then simply open the lightweight Last FM software and you've got an endless amount of free full length track suggestions at the tip of your fingers. I found myself asking, "What more could I possibly want?"

Moreover, the Last FM website enables you to find other people with similar musical tastes as yourself, so you can discuss whatever you like with them - almost like the Facebook for audioheads!
