I have also just been scammed by their secret hotel deals. I booked a hotel that had 50% off price of a room for a night. I went to find a map and found the hotel looked on their website and found the room £12 cheaper with no discount added. It's not a lot but when I tried to pull last minute up on their price promise they said they the % off was for the price the hotel gave them and therefore they wouldn't give refund. Utterly disgusted and will be more careful in future.

Will never use them again! Booked a secret room, did not receive any confirmation, did not know name of hotel, taxi driver had to find it from an address. (I didnt think it would be that secret!) Cant claim the money back from my employers as they have never sent an order confirmation - I am now £90.05 down for a work trip that I went on.

lastminute.com is a shady website that has no link to customer service and their complaints form has no room to accept anything but what it demands so if you complain about your room being the size of a rabbit hutch when described as luxury and comfort with trains and works all night underneath your window again described by lastminute,com as a verdant view of quiet pleasure you know why they dont allow or respond to complaints - go straight to abta and dont waste your time waiting for a reply - it won't happen.

Lastminute.com can be summed up in three simple words......Waste of space. We booked two nights accommodation through them on 02/07/09 (from 18/07/09). Credit card charged 03/07/09. Heard nothing by 06/07/09. Checked with the Hotel who had not received a booking (in fact they had been fully booked for some months and had no rooms). E-mailed lastminute who stated they checked and there was a booking and if we wished to cancel will incur a charge. How can you cancel something that is not there, that is the question?
We rechecked today with the hotel and they still say there is no booking and no rooms. Obviously lastminute are stating misleading facts, one way to make money I suppose. First and last time we will use them. Would we recommend them........Steer clear from the cowboys. P.S. The one star rating is overated, a nil star is more appropriate.
