There are some situations that you find yourself in where you're pretty sure that you need a lawyer - or at least legal advice - but at the same time your problem seeems so small, and the facts between You Vs. Whatever kind of muddy, so you drop it and walk away because it's probably better not to a) make a fool of yourself and b) waste someone else's time, particularly if that someone else is a lawyer charging £80 an hour.
