listen.comNewest Review: ... you really NEED, even by legally questionable methods. Due to the different websites covered by listen.com, you may have to download the files in a different way, It may also mean you suddenly find yourself having to register for another site in order to download anything (as I did with RollingStone.com). This puts you off your stride, but for me it has turned out to be a worthwhile diversion - for example, I liked the Rollingstone.com site so much, I'll revisit it, and not just for mp3s. That's the world wide web for you? One thing that you soon... more |

This website is a useful way of searching for mp3's. It's probably unfair to compare it to napster, as it's a completely different concept, but I have to say I prefer using listen.com to napster. Listen.com searches many free mp3 sites, such as Rollingstone.com, vitaminic.co.uk and mp3.com, and covers video files as well as audio files. It also includes pay-to-download mp3s, from such sites as musicmaker.com, cdnow.com and dimple.com. Basically, if you use any of these sites, if you use listen.com instead you shouldn't miss out on finding mp3s, and will save yourself a lot of time and effort. Listen.com also has some advantages over ... Read the complete review

When you first register you are presented with a list of 'DJs' and their favourite artists and you select the ones who most closeley match your own best bands. The site plays music (and video if you want) to you based on your selection and you can rate every song played from 0 (never play this again) to 100 (play often). The program analyses your choice and this affects which songs get airplay in future. To keep things fresh the odd random song is thrown in for good measure. The best thing is that you can e-mail ... Listen.com is a very good website. It si like a search engine for artists. If you sign up a become a member, you can add you favourite groups to a list for easy access. Listen.com doesn't hold lot of data about artists, but gives you links to sites that do. Information is split into reviews, downloads (real ausio, mp3, liquid audio, wma), and straming videos. all downloada are legal. It also offers you the opertunitys to leave your comments about an artist, and directs you to bands that it thinks you might like. ... Read the complete review
