Advantages: Posted to your door, no extra postage costs, lots of choice

Disadvantages: Annoying because the post isn't 7 days

Lately I have been trying to save money so have been renting DVD's rather than opting for the pub and spending too much money. I like films and refuse to go to the cinema anymore due to the prices now. So I rent instead.

Love Film is a great way to rent, it's quick and easy. I live in a village/small town near Watford, my closest Blockbuster is Watford or St Albans, either way a bit of a trek. I saw an advert for Love Films free 2 week trial and thought I'd give it a go.

Many people I know have done this and are still on Love Film now. (It is also a lot cheaper than Blockbuster). So I signed up, originally I signed up to 1 DVD, at any time, unlimited. This meant at any one time I could have 1 DVD at home. But if I were to send it back, I could receive another and so on, all month I could have unlimited DVDs, but only one at a time. Great I thought.

Love Film requires you to have a log on to its site, fill in "my rental list" this is where you add the films you want to see, there is a search bar and you can type in, actor, director, name of film and it will bring up a list then click rent and it adds it to your list. The list can then be divided in to high, medium or low priority. They also say you should have 10 rentals on your list to guarantee you get one. It also tells you if there is any sort of wait time on your DVD, on the list, Short or Long wait appears.

Love Film operate by sending you a DVD, it lists this on your log on and it comes 1st class in the post, you watch the film, however many times, and keep it as long as you like, then slip it in the return envelope provided with postage paid again 1st class. You can put up to 3 DVDs in one envelope.

I have since signed up moved up to the next payment bracket of 2 DVDs, at any time, unlimited. This is because I like to watch films on a Friday night, but then the weekend happens and obviously the turnaround isn't great so I end up posting the DVD back Saturday afternoon, Love Film gets it Monday, send me another one out and I don't get it until Wednesday. So I thought if I opt for the 2 films, I'll be covered, and it works better I always have something to watch.

The only catch is, you enter your details for the free trial and they don't remind you before it expires then charge on the day of expiration and you are then signed up as a fully fledges member, a bit sneaky but then how else are they going to ensure people stay.

I really like Love Film, I don't have a lot of patience for technology and websites so it's great to be able to log on and just do it, the website is totally user friendly and the navigation is easy but it's also helpful and there is a FAQ's bit and it's all set out clearly so you can find most of what you're looking for.

So far I have received one free film, I don't really understand how that works, except I had 3 films at one go, so I suppose in that sense it was free.

I would recommend Love Film, it is great and I haven't not had or found a film I want yet. They also do games packages too, take a look on the website www.lovefilm.com!!
