Lovefilm is a facility I tried through Quidco getting £6 for the experience and 2 months of free dvd's. I tried it and I found it was actually a really easy way to borrow dvd's and unlike previous experiences there was no issue with a dodgy company claiming not to have received the dvd's and trying to charge you for it.

Lovefilm have three deals on offer:

You can have the 1 disc deal which costs £9.99 per month, this means you make your list of dvd's and they will send you one dvd to view at any time.

The 2 discs deal at £12.99 per month means you get two discs together, this is what I pay for it means that my Saturday and Sunday nights always have the option of at least two new films to watch and I can borrow at least 8 films a month for £12.99.

The 3 discs deal costs £15.99 per month, I think this is good value for families and those who get through a lot of dvd's but I don't have the time unfortunately.

How it works:

Once you've signed up you go onto the Lovefilm website and choose a number of films you like, you have three levels of interest, the ones you want most are hot and are prioritised to send to you. When Lovefilm send you any dvd's they email you and generally the dvds arrive 1-2 days later.

Choice:

A pretty enormous choice of dvd's from tv to sport to kids classics to the latest blockbusters or world cinema, they have a massive selection and often send dvd's immediately upon release.

Reliability:

I've always received the dvd's and i've never lost one sending it back, make sure you ask for a signed receipt at the post office though to cover your back in case of loss as they will charge you if you don't.

Overall:

Its a good website that is easy to use with a great choice of dvd's, if you get used to sending the dvd's back as soon as you've used them you will enjoy a great amount of films over the month. DVD's arrive quickly and are generally the ones you want. Its a good website and the best i've experienced of this kind.
