Google, the world wide net's number one search engine, was created in 1998 by California students Larry Page and Serget Brin. The phonomenal success and simplicity of the service, made it millions of dollars. Google soon branched out increasingly more helpful ways, that helped bring the internet community come closer together, and made the world feel smaller. One of those new additions was Google Maps. Google Maps, created in 2004, but wheeled out to the public in 2005, provided eventually, in-depth geography of basically every country on the planet, along with a complete route map and physical terrain option. Areas of the world were added gradually, and is ... Read the complete review

Poor map sellers must be going out of business these days with the amount of free online applications that do a better job, and none is better than Google Maps. This free service is accessible through google.com. Basically it allows you to see a map of anywhere in the world that you want to! In my own experience, I have only used it for local UK reasons, but that's not to stop others using it for other countries. What I love about this site is it's so easy to use. You just type your details into the search engine - either postcode or road name, then the map pops up. You can zoom in and out and everything is very detailed, just like a map you would ... Google maps is a free service provided by google which allows users to ditch the old road map and find what their looking for in a stress and hassle free way. Simply enter a postcode or address into the search bar, and google maps will pin point that specific address giving users the option to view it in map, satellite or terrain view. Google maps not only gives you the option of viewing a map, but enter a second address or postcode and google will give you directions to get from your starting point to your destination. You can choose from viewing directions by car, walking or even public transport. In my experience I have found that google maps ... Read the complete review

Since I first discoved Google maps, it has always been the first place I turn to for advice on working out geographical information. I am able to access it in two ways: Through my computer and my iPhone. Firstly, when you load it up you're presented with a map of the UK but easily accesses international data as well. For example I typed my friend's Canadian postcode in and without question it brought me to his house on the other side of the world. If you do decide to stick to the UK though you can select the zoom button to scroll in and also use the wheel on the mouse. You can also quick search by typing in information such as town, postcodes or street names. ... Read the complete review
