I’m a big fan of Marilyn Monroe – and so are plenty of other people. Just type her name into Google and see how many websites there are out there, which feature this beautiful woman. I thought I would review her official site which is marilynmonroe.com. As well as being in English, the website can also be viewed in Spanish, Portuguese and German. I think the homepage is rather bland, but the site certainly has plenty to explore. The news section is a bit sparser than I feel it should be. I recently watched an interesting programme on the life of Marilyn Monroe and sought out her website to discover a little more about her. I came across this website, the official website and I thought I would do a review of what I had found. Upon entering the site, the screen became predominately pink and looked a little bland and lacking in contrasting colour. At this stage you have the opportunity to view a mini movie of various Marilyn poses while being serenaded by well known songs from her movies such as 'I wanna be loved by you' and 'Diamonds are a girls best friend'. N.B I gave this site a chance, but I didn’t think it was very comprehensive at all for an official site The Marilyn Monroe website opens with a splash of colour. A scarlet background displays Marilyn reclining in a typical photo-shoot pose. The options are clearly presented in white on black: Biography, Films, Photo Gallery, Marilyn’s Favourites, Quotes, Fan Club, Store, Licensing Info. There also exists a search facility. The site can be viewed in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese or Chinese, but my Portuguese/Spanish/Japanese/Chinese skills being a little rusty ;-) I decided to review the English site.
