Created in 2006, Marriedtothesea.com is a unique webcomic site, in a similar vain to Nataliedee, Chip Shop Adventures and Explodingdog. It has a pretty original premise, in that it cuts and pastes together sketches and illustrations from various periods in history, usually Victorian, but sometimes from the 1980s, and adds captions and speechbubbles which frequently contain satyrical references to modern culture, particularly 21st century technology, and rules of government, expressed juxtapositionally, in a contemporary mode of speaking.
