match.comNewest Review: ... there are two options for membership at Match.com. If you're sceptical and stingy (as I originally was), you can sign up for free. This means you can send and receive winks which, although a fantastic ego boost, isn't going to result in any dates. In order to send and receive emails, you need to sign up as a paying member. I waited a couple of days until I had 10 emails awaiting me before handing over my debit card details. I paid around £20 for a one month subscription although if you pay in advance for a 6 month membership, the price drops to around £10 per month. Also, if you've seen the ads on telly, Match.com have a guarantee tha... more |

For those of you who have taken an interest in my recent absence from Dooyoo, it may interest you to know that the fact of the matter is my diary has never been so jam packed with dates. Following a dismal spell with men and a few tipsy words of encouragement from my friends, I signed up to Match.com and the offers seem to have come pouring in. I shan't take you through the whole arduous process of signing up as Match.com doesn't differ dramatically from any other online dating site (not that I'm a whore to the world of internet matchmaking!) You simply fill out a number of basic fields such as age, height, hair colour, religion, occupation etc and then ... Read the complete review

In my long search for love I decided to bite the bullet and actually pay to join a dating website. I still think I must be mad but I thought I would give it a go as I have nothing to lose (apart from my self respect and dignity lol). Match is probably one of the most well know of dating websites as they often have advertising campaigns on tv. It was the recent run of their adverts that prompted me to give it a go. **Site Layout** I have found the site layout really easy to use and navigate. Once you have set up your profile and written a bit about yourself you are free to search other members. You can either do a quick ... Read the complete review

Match.com worked a treat for me. First of all I didn't know if I wanted to join a dating agency, because, let's face it - it's not exactly ideal, there's stories about people going on dates and not returning, what do you tell people when they ask how you met? To see what there was I looked at the people on match - you can search and look without having to subscribe. I liked what I saw! I was a little put off when I recognised a bloke that I used to work with who was, bless him, a complete geek, yet his profile looked quite good - I wondered what all the others were hiding. I began to do my profile as you don't need to join to do that either. It took a while - ... Read the complete review

Well, believe it or not, I actually met my new partner I am very happy with now through match.com!! Personal ad's like newspapers, intorduction agencies and web sites all seem to have a huge stigma attahed to them that only 'saddos' use them and you only get wierdos. I would like to dispel that myth with my own experience. Having recently seperated and being <cough splutter> thirty <cough splutter> something, the social forums don't seem to exist that used to. Go to pubs now and everyone huddles off into their own little groups and communes. Talk to anyone and you get stared at like your a loony or after one thing only. Not my ... Read the complete review

You can find love on the internet - I did two years ago! Match.com is one of the largest online matchmaking sites. It first appeared in 1995 as an online classifieds site. It soon attracted 60,000 singles in less than a year. By 1996 there were 500,000 members. Soon marriage announcements and engagements started hitting the press. On 30 March 1996 the first baby of a match.com inspired marriage was born. To date there have been 50 more babies, almost 1200 marriages and thousands of relationships. I met Gary on match.com and have been living with him for the last two years and plan to start a family soon. How does it work? I last went into ... Read the complete review
