Since Meetic offer their users no visible means to contact them on their user website, I've sent this wherever I can within the corporate side of this shoddy company. I attempted to verify (two times) on their website, that I did not wish to renew this service, but each time, after verification, I noticed they'd automatically renewed my subscription, despite my previous efforts. I am also outraged at the way I'm being treated by meetic. My friend and I wanted to give the site a try so signed up for just one month. However, upon checking my bank statement this month I found that Meetic are continuing to debit £24.99 EVERY month. This was not made clear when you sign up and seems like a very strange way to do business. I didn't sign any direct debit mandate. To cancel the 'automatic renewal' of my pass I had to follow a 5 step process and when that's completed they supposedly then send you an email. And it isn't until you receive the email that you can actually confirm cancellation. Funnily enough this process was FAR trickier than signing up ...

If you don't get into any problems a company's lack of customer services are not likely to bother you, and like a lot of people it wasn't something I thought about when I joined this site, but I now wish I had. I joined and paid £20 because they had an offer of one month for the price of two, so I thought for £10 a month it's worth a go. Getting towards the end of the two months I thought the site was okay, I'd mailed and chatted with a few people and didn't really want to abruptly break off with people or start asking for email addresses prematurely, so when I went into the my account area of the site and saw there was an annual account that worked out at ...
