Melon Farmers has become one of my essential Web reads, I'll usually check in about once a week as the updates are a little sporadic. It's not so much a movie site as an anti-censorship site, though its main target is the work of the BBFC. As someone who prefers to see his films uncut and finds it insulting that the UK government should feel that I could be easily influenced by what I see, Melon Farmers is the easiest way to keep track of what the BBFC is doing. Melon Farmer's Video Hits is a UK-based website that seeks to inform people of the nature and extent of video, DVD, and cinema censorship that goes on here and abroad. There is a regularly updated database of articles and news items concerning the issue, as well as editorial opinions (mostly concerning the British Board of Film Certification, as well as who they lovingly refer to as "Jackboots" Straw!)
