This is a website designed to show you what the weather is going to be like in your chosen place over the next fourteen days. It details:
-Temperature
-'Feels like' temperature
-U.V exposure
-Rain (mm)
-Cloud density
-Wind direction and speed
There is also a small pictoral representation of the weather (e.g. picture of raindrops if it is to be a rainy day).
Each of these are updated for every 3 hours each day so you can see the weather for 10:00, then 13:00 etc. This is much more useful than weather forecasts which only show an overall day perspective.
In order to find the weather for your desired location you can type in a place name or postcode which is good as the weather prediction you recieve is detailed for the exact area that you want.
The overall layout of the site is simple to use and clear with large tabs to direct you to the day for which you want forecast.
On the whole i have found the predictions on metcheck to be quite accurate. Accuracy does decline the further into the future you are looking but i think this is a problem faced by all weather forecasters.
Although i use this website just for the basic forecasting feature, metcheck also has sections for cylclone track, stormwatch, ski resort watch...the list goes on! It is also possible to subscribe for an extra detailed personal version of the site should the weather forecast be very important for your business or hobby for example.
