New next month from Microsoft - Office XP This opinion is written for people with a working knowledge of Office already, as if I described the Office suite and also said what’s new in XP you would still be reading at Christmas! So here is what’s new to tempt you into Microsoft Office XP. Firstly, they have been rather clever in the anti-piracy stakes. As you purchase your Office package, install it on your PC, you then need to ‘activate’ it. It will allow you to get started immediately and not activate if you wish but you only have 50 launches, so as you are nearing your deadline it prompts you to log on (or call) and ... Microsoft on-line help centre is the place to go if you have difficulty with Microsoft products. There is lots of information here but I did find the site ( like other Microsoft sites) very difficult to navigate. Things just weren'e where I thought the would be. Of course, that could have been just me finding it hard, but I don't usually find I have this kind of proble. This help service is for US and UK and offers a search facility and FAQ section, (Frequently asked questions). You will also find tutorials for Win98 and ME editions on site. You can also download patches and fixes to update and upgrade microsoft programmes on this site. I ... Read the complete review

While on-site you will have access to a 'knowledge base' which is searchable for frequently asked questions and articles. In addition, there are ... Read the complete review

Once there is a critical update for windows Microsoft explorer’s pop up box will appear and when clicked on you will enter that site, where there will be a list of critical updates for you to download and the latest of other Microsoft products. The download centre is a very important section of this site that will allow you to download the latest critical updates, with a short description of the file, the size and time it will take to download. You can browse through all other products and see if there are any latest updates that will suit your system. Recently I upgraded my Internet explorer from 5.0 to the new 5.5 versions. The only disadvantage ... Read the complete review

Recently, the whole world were put on alert regarding the outbreak of the computer latest viruses, that had cause great loss of money. It started with the ILOVEYOU virus that circulated via emails in Microsoft Outlook. Once run, the virus was capable of overwriting .jpg and .mp3 files. Worst, the virus had the capability of sending itself to everyone in the Microsoft Outlook's address book. Hence, the recipients of the emails did not suspect anything as they were "sent" by their trustable friends. The title of the email was "ILOVEYOU" with a message saying "Kindly check the attached LOVELETTER from me". The file was in a .vbs format, ... Read the complete review
