Milkround.com is a graduate recruitment website which specialises in providing relevant job opportunities to university graduates. It’s also possibly one of the most oddly named graduate job websites that I’ve come across while spending time searching for a future career over the past few weeks. However, despite the name being a bit hit and miss, the actual site has been a great resource for searching for relevant graduate schemes and also for accessing advice about job hunting. Milkround is one of the more reliable of the graduate recruitment sites. The weekly e-mails that you can get from them, on new jobs in your area are very useful and the jobs themselves, at least in my area of finance, tend to be the best ones available. The site seems to be far more "mature" looking than some of the others, none of the Dr Job cartoons here, which could make it a little boring for some people, but i would think that you should be looking more at the content than at the layout. Milkround.co.uk is a careers web site specifically for graduates, or students about to graduate. I used it with the hope of finding the perfect job, but was sadly disappointed. I did find the perfect job, which I start in September, but I found that through other means. I heard about Milkround via a mouse mat in my University at Swansea. In fact, all the computers had them so you couldn't fail to notice them. So I signed up. This is the first part that lets the site down. It is horrendously complicated. Milkround.co.uk is one of the better graduate recruitment sites on the market. It's nowhere near as annoying as Dr Job, or Prospects, and the jobs on Milkround do at least exist! I found my job at one of the major banks on the Milkround, even though it was January, and hence well through the normal recruiting cycle. The number of jobs do vary, and it may be down to luck, but certainly they are well supported in the financial sector.
