Advantages: rare but scared knowledge, self help, self control, peacefulness, confidence

Disadvantages: difficult to find decent 'real' information

The main area of mind, body and spirit that I am interested in is the psychological aspects of hypnosis, illusion, dreams and well... basically anything to do with the human mind at all really! It does seem to be quite difficult to attain decent material in this area though.

There seem to be a large volume of websites out there that promise to share with you the magical knowledge which is out there somewhere that some people appear to be able to utilize in such incredible ways, only to find that they sell you (for a large amount of money) the same information which is available for free.

The only websites out there that seem to be helpful in this subject seem to be the ones closest related to Buddhism. I have never really taken an interest in any religion before but the more I read about Buddhism the more it seemed to make more sense than any other religion, especialy Christianity. I must state here that I fully respect what other people choose to believe, as long as they respect my decision in my beliefs.

The thing which fascinates me most is the fact of how simple the human mind, and indeed human being are so easy to manipulate and control under certain circumstances. Understanding how this works and how subliminal persuasion actually manipulates every single one of us every day is half way to understanding how the world works. One website which is of huge value, although it falls under a commercialized title, is NLP Weekly. This is a fantastic website for beginners to intermediates which explains fascinating aspects of the human mind.

NLP Weekly (Neuro Linguistic Programming) did use to offer free subliminal mp3's on their sister site, Free Subliminals, but the site seems to be down for the moment.

Summary: A fascinating and very secretive knowledgable and helpful subject
