This is the worst online company I've ever bought from.I placed an order in January and never received it. they also overcharged my credit card for shipping I have sent many emails trying to sort it out and they either ignore them or write back and say that they will send the item but never do. they are basically operating a scam as far as i'm concerned.
I don't trust this company AT ALL. I placed my order 3 months ago with a living social deal for toothbrush heads and have received nothing. Not to mention I paid extra for shipping. I get the same automated response every time I contact customer serviceI see there are several people with this issue but they continue to offer vouchers. It makes me wonder if it is fact a scam. Even if you get your voucher money back (after a lot of hard work) they keep they extra you paid for shipping. Euro5 from each livingsocial deal customer!
I have had terrible problems with this company who ignored all emails until I instituted a claim through PayPal. As a result of that, I had 6 emails, 4 in 1 day!!I have now received my order for 32 toothbrush heads - and guess what? They do not fit my Braun Oral B toothbrush, despite the fact that the Ministry of Deals' advert specifies which toothbrushes these heads will fit, and mine is one of them! The customer services number gets you through to a recorded message, telling you to email them with your problem. They do not respond to emails. You never get to speak to a real person.I have had to give 1 star in order to submit this review, otherwise they would get no stars.I rest my case!!
Ministryofdeals.com was quick to accept my payment and even managed so far as sending me email confirmation of my orders, advising a delivery time of between 3 and 5 days. That's when everything stopped and you never hear from them ever again. Despite having an 0845 (chargeable) number to contact on their website, all I got was a voice message asking me to leave my message through their online contact form. They promised to get back to customers with their queries within 48 hours, nothing happened. Please don't waste your time and money on this company. No customer service whatsoever. You can never get hold of a real person to deal with your query. Horrid experience. AVOID.
I paid for a product from this company 5 weeks ago. They took the payment from my account the same day. I still have not recieved anything at all and i have also emailed them several times to which they have not bothered responding to.I will never use this appauling company again and have advised all my friends the same.It may not have been a large amount of money but i will take legal action against them and show them for what they really are.A very bad comany who take your money and send nothing in return.
ministryofdeals.com are an awful company, stay away from them. When my order didn't arrive they ignored several emails and a letter by recorded post. They don't ship the goods and then refuse to correspond. Don't use ministryofdeals.com, nothing will arrive and you'll lose your money. If I could give ministryofdeals.com no stars I would, but I'm forced to give it at least one star which it doesn't deserve even that. ministryofdeals.com are a VERY BAD company! ministryofdeals.com will not send your order and steal your money.
Ministry of Deals is a website that changes its offers every 24 hours. YOu can sign up for their e-mail which means you receive an e-mail containing that days 4 offers including the price they are currently selling it for (occassionally there are offers that are free - obviously these disappear very quickly), the money they state you would be saving (at times these do seem to be inflated) and delivery is usually free. There are limited amounts of stock for each offer and a lot of offers are repeated as they obviously cannot get rid of their stock and in some instances you can see why as some of it can best be described as "tat!".
The best thing about the website is the link to another of their websites which is 95pence.com. On this website, as the title states everything is 95pence. There are sections which include:
Food and drink
Health and Beauty
Clothing and accessories
DIY & Tools
Children and Baby
If you order less than 16 items there is a £1.95 delivery charge. Delivery usually takes around 5 days and the items received from there are good quality
Having two kids and not a huge amount of spare cash I need to save where possible. To this end I heard of Ministry of Deals a few months ago but didn't see anything I thought would be of use so forgot all about it. Then we had the have I bought enough stuff for the kids panic and I went back online.
The site is basic. Four deals every twenty four hours until the stock is sold. Sometimes the items are repeated. The site boasts free delivery this week with no minimum spend, but I seem to recall a basic charge outwith the festive period.
items are dispatched in basic but decent bubble wrap envellopes. They have so far arrived on time and are good quality. You will not get up to the minute items here. What you will find is the unusual stuff that you pick up just in case, like a bike repair kit, LED lights for outdoor use, walkie talkie watches for the kids. Any games they sell are not top of the kids wish list but at £4-£10 they are a bargain. I got a PSP game and accesory pack for £5. I also got a book with 4 CD's about the Beatles for £4. My father in law was made up on Christmas Day this year.
The site is easy to use are there are only four options and once you have selected your purchase it will take 4-5 days for delivery. Payment is through the usual safe methods such as VISA etc...
All in it's a good website but can be a hit or a miss. Worthwhile keeping an eye across the year and stocking up for next Christmas.
I like to keep an eye on all the so called "daily deal" sites to keep an eye out for a bargain,so i end up having a look on Ministry of deals most days.
Ministry of deals has 4 item on offer for 24 hours from midnight to midnight, and stock is limited so when it's gone it's gone
The site layout
The main page Has 4 picture links to that days deals with a count down timer telling you how long you have left before the deals ends
Across the top of the page you have links to: Today's offers, About us, My account, Contact & Help.
Then you have a brief description of what the site is about and a few adds down the left hand side.
When you click on one of the offers for more information it dulls the page and opens a box with a bigger picture of the item, a few bullet points of information and a breakdown off the RRP and how much you will be saving.
This is as easy as any shopping site, you just click "buy now" register your details and confirm your order, you can make your payment using all the usual credit cards, however Pay Pal and Google checkout are not an option,
P+P is free (or included in the item price depending on how you look at it) so the price you see is all you pay
Delivery & returns
"MinistryofDeals.com endeavours to dispatch all orders within 24 hours of receiving your order. However actual delivery times can be 3 - 5 working days depending on the delivery service used."
I have ordered 1 item and it arrived in about 3-4 days, however this was promotional offer with a price off £00.00 so this would have been a very busy day for them.
I have never had to return an item but the T's & C's state unwanted items can be returned within 30 days for a full refund but you must pay for the return postage.
However if you are returning faulty goods they will refund P+P up to the value of £4.99 and send a replacement item or refund your money in full.
I don't think there are any bargains to be had on this site, most of the offers are well overpriced, i regularly see offers on this site for £2, £3, £4 and even £5 that are stocked in most of the high-street pound shops!
Also while i was reading the T's & C's i noticed a section on exclusions from the returns policy stating that food & drink, CD's/DVD's, computer software, toiletries and cosmetics, are excluded even if faulty!!
I am sure that's against the law? but i would rather buy from somewhere with a hassle free returns policy then have to phone trading standards
I recently came across this site so thought I'd fill you all in on my opinion of it. The ministry of deals site features 4 daily deals or products available at extremely low prices for a period of 24 hours. After this period, a new set of products becomes available. So the big question is are there real bargains to be had?
Well I recently purchased a world time alarm clock for £4 from the site which arrived promptly within a few days. It isn't of the highest quality available, but for the price I paid I think it's a really good buy. All products are delivered to you free of charge which is another added bonus so the price you see for a product is exactly what you pay.
They also have regular free gift offers on the site. These are nothing special such as PC games which probably aren't worth that much, but for free you really can't complain.
There definetly are bargains to be had on this site so it's worth having a look at it from time to time especially if you're looking for a gift idea. However the products aren't always of the highest quality but I guess you get what you pay for.
The Ministry of Deals offer their own very special deals every day on their website. They only offer 4 deals every day but all of their deals seem to be very decent and very good for value. Just two months ago they was offering free gifts every day to a new member on the website. This was the time I became a member on the website and started to earn my self some free gifts on the site.
My order was placed on a Monday for the free gift and the free gift turned up 2 days later. They sent me a free PC game not bad you know it was free! I have apart from ordering the free gifts placed a order for a USB on the website.
This time the website took a while to get the delivery sorted out for me. I had to wait around a week and a half before it was sent to me. On the bottom of the website they had their email address available to contact for any queries. Having made plenty of emails to that address a few times I never got one response back.
My theory on the website is that you can find some alright deals on here. A lot of the deals are junk often and you find items you do not be interested in most of the times. Sometimes though you can find some very decent deals for USB sticks and also Mp3 players so it is worth looking on here for some deals daily as you never know what you can find on here.
