I have only just started to use this but so far i am very impressed, it's a new thing for me and it's great so far. Basically, ICQ is a software that you have to download to your computer that allows you to see whos online from your chosen friends list. There are a lot of social networking sites around these days, and I mean a lot, and in my opinion, I think that ICQ is one of those sites, but with a twist. This has to be one of the only interaction sites where you have to download a piece of software. This software doesnt take up that much room on your computer, and the download time really depends on what your Internet connection speed is. I had resisted using ICQ (that's right - "I seek you") as I had heard that the system was full of assorted pervs, freaks and deviants. However, I signed up to it recently when a friend who was flat-hunting and needed someone to man the phone who could speak German said he was using it instead of other instant messaging software.
